Supported reverse lunge
Form cues
- Lightly hold a wall or chair for balance.
- Step back softly and lower straight down.
- Press through the full front foot to return.
Common mistakes
- Taking too narrow a stance.
- Falling forward onto the front toes.
- Pushing off the back foot to rush up.
Beginner adjustment
Regression: use a shorter range or practice a split-stance hold. Progression: remove the support or hold light dumbbells at the sides.
