Form cues
- Choose a box that allows a quiet landing.
- Swing arms and drive through the floor.
- Land soft, stable, and tall before stepping down.
Common mistakes
- Choosing height that forces a knee tuck.
- Landing with knees collapsing inward.
- Jumping down repeatedly when stepping down is available.
Expert adjustment
Scaling: use a low box, broad-jump-to-stick, fast step-ups, or a medicine-ball chest pass. Progression: add height only when landings stay quiet and controlled.
